Sayulita

Situated approximately some 35 minutes from the airport of Puerto Vallarta , Sayulita is the most popular village north of Banderas Bay . During the whole year the tourist activity is constant and its beaches are visited by various types of tourism, amongst which the lovers of surfing stand out. Each year in December the "Sayulita Surf Classic" is carried out. The extension of its beach measures approximately two kilometers by some 30 meters of width, with fine and golden sand.

The restaurants on the beach specialize in seafood and are very crowded. The activity is continuous, to such a degree that it seems as if in this village in all its corners everybody always has something to do. The main square and its surroundings are a center of street commerce and a meeting point for locals and visitors. Due to the mixture of the tourist crowd here a nostalgic air can be perceived evoking the sixties of the United States of America . Walking through the village and its surroundings is a very picturesque and enriching experience. An unforgettable adventure is a walking excursion on the beach until reaching the village of San Francisco . During the major part of the tour you may appreciate spectacular views of the ocean and the dense jungle.

Having all services available, Sayulita still offers the rural atmosphere of a fishing village where you can listen to the song of the rooster every morning, no matter where you are at, accompanied by the braying of a donkey, both announcing that the hour has come to go back to work.

Also the marine fauna is abundant in this place and you may practice sport fishing. The catch of a dorado or bonita is certain and of course the possibility of catching a sailfish or a marlin is also something to be considered.
